Friday 26th February Newsletter

Our Community

Following on from our school’s involvement with the official opening of the Repton Park play areas, Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon Homes would like to invite the pupils at Repton Manor Primary School to take part in a competition to design the signage for each play area.

Entry requirements: Designs must be submitted on A4 paper, design must include the name of the chosen park, no limit or specification as to the colours that can be used, only one entry should be submitted for each play area but competitors are welcome to submit separate entries for all three play areas if they wish.

Children could think about the local landmarks and things that you like to do in the park

There will be a total of three signs to be designed, one for each play area, and the names for each are as follows:

Lime Row Play Space

Oaks Play Space

Birches Play Space

The entries will be judged by Councillor Feacey, a trustee of the Repton Community Trust, and the winning designs will be used as a basis for the actual signage. The 3 winners will also receive a framed picture of their winning design and a £30 book token. The Mayor will be invited to present the winners prizes and their pictures may appear in the newspaper.

Deadline for competition entries to be received: FRIDAY 25TH MARCH 2016.

Parent Focus Group Meeting

Thank you for the ongoing support for our Parent Focus Group (PFG). We have run this open group since the school first opened and it has played an integral part in the shaping and development of our school. This term we are offering the opportunity for you to meet as an informal group to chat to our Chair of Governors (Wayne Wills) over tea and coffee. The PFG meeting is held in the staffroom immediately after the celebration assembly (approximately 9.40am) on the second Friday of every term. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible and to take feedback from you, both positive views and areas of school life you feel we could improve on.
