School News & Events

A school newsletter is sent home by Mr Rawling fortnightly. It is sent to parents electronically or sent home with their child. Please see our previous newsletters below.

Near the start of each half-term, parents / carers receive a class newsletter. The newsletters typically have class-specific information about the learning your child will experience that term and how you could support them further.  This is in addition to occasional letters which are sent home whenever there is important news.

We send home paper copies of essential communications. However, we increasingly use other ways to communicate. There are various ways for you to receive our news and updates electronically. You can subscribe to our news articles via RSS or by email. If you use Twitter, you will soon be able to follow us there. We also use text messages for shorter notices directly to your phone – contact the school office if you don’t yet benefit from communications using mobile phones and email.

Friday 22nd January 2016 Newsletter

We are delighted to be able to introduce our Family Liaison Officer, Hannah Ferris, who will be working alongside Kayleigh Simpson, our Pastoral Support Manager.

Friday 8th January 2016 Newsletter

What does it mean to be British?

Happy New Year to all and welcome back. We hope you all had a fun Christmas holiday and enjoyed your family time together, maybe even got a little rest, if that is possible!

Friday 13th November 2015 Newsletter

We are very fortunate at Repton Manor Primary school to have so many parents that spend the time and energy to email, call, say or write a ‘thank you’ when appropriate. It is one of the reasons that our school is the most rewarding school I have had the pleasure of leading.

Friday 9th October 2015 Newsletter

Many of you attended our information evenings in term 6 last academic year. At the meetings we presented our new approach to setting targets for children's learning. All schools set children targets, but we felt there were more meaningful ways of approaching this.

25th September Newsletter

Thank you to all the parents that attended our harvest festival this morning. The children reflected on Harvest in different ways. Some children read poems about the season and reasons to be thankful for food whilst other children sang about harvesting friendship and trust.

Friday 11th September Newsletter

A warm welcome back to the start of our fourth year. Our school continues to grow and we now have 331 children who are part of the Repton Manor Family. We had the most wonderful start to the year and I was very impressed by the enthusiasm and maturity of our children.

3rd July Newsletter

We are incredibly well supported by many families and that is one of the core reasons we have such a successful school and that it continues to develop each term. One area that could directly impact on our school, and that is lagging behind the other areas of high standards, is attendance.
