New Families for September 2021

Are you thinking about joining our Repton Manor Family in September 2021? We are very happy to share our virtual school tour with you and your families. We hope that this virtual tour will give you an insight into the wonderful opportunities that we can offer your child at Repton Manor Primary School. You will also find a link to our ‘Reception Handbook’. Please note that this handbook was written in May 2020 for the parents of our current Reception children, however it is full of information that I am sure you will find helpful.

We will also be holding two virtual meetings through a third party service called Zoom. The purpose of these virtual meetings is to learn about life at Repton Manor, find out what your child’s Reception year may look like and also to meet some of the school's current Reception and leadership staff and ask any questions that you might have. Please find the times, dates and details about these two virtual meetings below.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about our school, or how to use Zoom for our virtual meetings, please contact the school office and they will be able to put you in touch with the appropriate member of staff.

A warm welcome to Repton Manor Primary School website. Following our first inspection, shortly after opening our school in September 2012, we have grown into a popular and successful school. You can read the Ofsted report here. We have seen, for the children who have shared this journey with us, their academic progress and personal outcomes rise well above national averages year on year. Our infant children attained above average and in the highest 10% for all pupils nationally last year. Children who join our school after this point make excellent progress from their starting point, academically and personally. At Repton Manor Primary School, it is our belief that children’s excellent academic outcomes are a result of nurturing the whole child.

We believe every child has to recognise that they are safe, happy and loved to get the best from their learning. We ensure that our children are at the centre of all we do and that they recognise their own importance in our school family. A child’s selfesteem and self-concept is essential to their success.

Our successes and continued development are a result of the strong, caring and collaborative relationships between children, staff, governors and families. The greatest strength of our school is the staff team. This group of skilled and innovative adults work tirelessly to care for and to educate our children. They take personal pride in seeing each child in their care grow as happy, enthusiastic and independent learners. I am privileged to have been able to recruit our staff team from scratch and I am proud to lead them each day.

Please do not hesitate in contacting me should you wish to discuss any information on our website further or to find out more about our school. We strive to be the best possible school that we can for your child and we look forward to working with you in achieving this during their primary school life.

Our response to Covid-19

We would like to wish all our families the very best at this difficult time. We recognise how challenging the current school closure (for all but children of key workers) must be for all families. We are missing all the children and parents a great deal. Thank you for the kind words of support and understanding at this difficult time. Please know we continue to work every day to support each of you however we can. You can reach us by email or phone if you have any questions regarding the communications and the learning being distributed. Please do not hesitate in contacting us for anything concerning you at this time, or if you simply just want to talk. For families that are expecting to join us in September, we very much look forward to getting to know you and your children well. If we have to amend our normal routines for transition for your children we will communicate our plans with you but we will ensure your child is welcomed into our school family with the same care and attention as all the children have in the past.

Our very best wishes, stay safe.
