May 2023: Careers Day

On Wednesday 24th May, Year 5 and 6 children enjoyed exploring various careers during our Careers Fair.

Many volunteers kindly gave up their time to set up stalls showcasing their careers and to talk to the 180 children about what their job entails and to answer their questions.

The children absolutely loved finding out more about the careers exhibited and the array of different jobs proved fascinating to them. From a forensic investigator to a computer programmer, a personal trainer to a you tuber, a police community support officer to a neo-natal intensive care nurse, the volunteers in attendance made sure that the stalls provided practical experiences for the children as well as interesting insights into possible careers they could pursue.

During the fair, the children noted down key information about the jobs present and considered whether any of them might be of interest to them in the future.
